STONE BY STONE WE HAVE A CLINIC 15/01/16
In 2014 we began to build a small clinic in collaboration with the Spanish NGO Worldproject for the population of Zinga .
After building a first module , we began the summer of 2015 to build a new building adjacent to the former. This building will allow us to provide better care to maternity cases of this island and its surroundings areas, also to stabilize patients requiring attend the hospital.
Gradually this project has been growing although there are still many things to do.
STOP MATERNAL DEATH 01/03/15
2015 Island Mission Uganda is Inviting to join in the struggle of eradicating maternal deaths in the fishing communities and the hard to reach areas, where there is no health service by construction of maternity home to give a chance to women and children to access quality services in the hard to reach areas in Uganda.
we have just completed part of the our first phase of maternity home in Zinga Island in Wakiso district.
Few weeks ago whenthe IMU team went to check on the construction, more than ten pregnant women walked to the clinic and us asked to start as soon as possible because they had lost fellow women as they were trying to take them to the main land to give birth. They were all scared.
we need to join together and do something, right now we need equipment and human resource to start antenatal care and deliveries.
Any assistance you can give to us will be used for the right course.
we are so grateful for Entebbe Hospital, World Project and all the friends of IMU for the help you give to the hard to reach areas.

From 2/08/215 to 20th/08/3015 IMU aind our Spanish friends from World Project were working toguether in several medical camps and the building of a clinic in Zinga Island.
During this period, our team formed by Ugandans and Spaniards have attended the medical camps of Kitalanga and Zinga island, where more than 500 hundred of patient could benefit from it health services.
During this three weeks, we have started constructing the new room of the clinic that we are building in the Island of Zinga and improving the facilities of the room that we constructed in previous month before this expedition.
Our expectations are to have a Clinic where those mothers of the island could deliver their babies without risking their lives trying to cross the lake. A place where we could provide also health education to a population with a huge lake of resources and knowledge in health.
We would like to thanks everyone who is helping us fulfilling our goals in this project and encourage to those other who have not do it yet to get involve. Together we can give some dignity to all those people living in the outreach areas.
